Dr. Mark D. Lomeo is a board-certified ophthalmologist in practice since 1996, with experience providing retina care across the Ohio area. In addition to his practice duties at Ohio Eye Associates, Dr. Lomeo also holds academic appointments as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Ohio State University and is a partner at Midwest Retina.
Dr. Lomeo received his medical degree and completed residency training in Ophthalmology from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. Furthering his training, Dr. Lomeo then completed a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine.
In addition to his practice experience, Dr. Lomeo’s work has been published in numerous medical journals, abstracts and presentations throughout his medical career. He has also been involved with a number of research studies on advances in the field of ophthalmology. Dr. Lomeo has been voted to the “Best Doctors in America” list every year since 2006.

Dr. Robert B. Chambers is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology with over 25 years of experience, currently practicing at Ohio Eye Associates and partner with Midwest Retina. Dr. Chambers also holds academic appointments as a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Chambers graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa, before completing his Ophthalmology residency at Flint Osteopathic Hospital, where he was Chief Resident during his final year and recognized as the Outstanding Resident. Dr. Chambers then continued his training by completing a fellowship in Retina/Vitreous Surgery at Ohio State University.

He previously served for two terms as President and Chairman of the Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Chambers currently serves on the Board of Governors for the OCOO-HNS. Dr. Chambers has received the Makley Battles teaching award three times. He was also voted Best Teacher, Department of Ophthalmology at the Ohio State University. Dr. Chambers has been elected to the “Best Doctors in America” list from 2008-2010.

Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and trained in vitreo-retinal surgery, Dr. David G. Miller offers his experience and knowledge to patients at Ohio Eye Associates and Retina Associates of Cleveland.
Dr. Miller graduated with his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and recipient of the Medical Student Research Award and the College of Medicine Merit Award. He then completed his residency training in ophthalmology at Indiana University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. Dedicated to perfecting his craft, Dr. Miller also completed a fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery and Disease at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard University.

He is the past President, Vice President and Treasurer of the Cleveland Ophthalmological Society. He also holds several local hospital affiliations, including at Lakewood Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Parma Community Hospital and serves as President of Cleveland Eye and Laser Surgery Center.
As a top physician in his chosen field, Dr. Miller’s work has appeared in numerous journal articles, book chapters, abstracts, presentations, posters and research studies. He has participated in dozens of landmark FDA clinical trials of new ocular pharmaceuticals and devices through Retina Associates of Cleveland. Most of these trials are in the research areas of macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. He is also a scientific reviewer for several journals, including Survey of Ophthalmology and Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Jerome P. Schartman is a board-certified ophthalmologist currently practicing at Ohio Eye Associates and Retina Associates of Cleveland. Dr. Schartman previously served as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Albany Medical College and holds hospital appointments at Lakewood Hospital, Parma Community General Hospital and Cleveland Eye and Laser Surgery Center.
Dr. Schartman received his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, before completing specialized residency training in ophthalmology at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and Veterans Affairs Hospital, serving as Chief Resident during his final year. In addition, Dr. Schartman also completed a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Disease, Surgery and Uveitis at Albany Medical Center and College of Medicine.
