Bifocals – Provides vision for both far and near in one lens, divided by a visible line.

Aspherics – Lighter and thinner than standard plastic with less distortion as the wearer looks to the edge of the lens. Also reduces the soda bottle effect of eye magnification.

Ultraviolet Protection – To protect your eyes from harmful rays we recommend ultraviolet coating on all lenses.

Glass – Offers superior optics and is the most scratch resistant material. Glass is heavier than other materials and less safe.

Sunglasses
Sunglasses can be a fun accessory, which is why we offer a variety of designer sunglasses for you to choose from. It is important to keep in mind that more than just fashion, sunwear is an all-year-round item. The dangers the sun can impact the eyes and the skin around them not only in summer months, but winter months as well. Some conditions, like sunlight reflecting off the snow, can cause a higher degree of ultraviolet radiation, causing certain eye conditions.
Just like we protect our skin with sunscreen, it is also important to protect our eyes from dangerous effects of ultraviolet rays. The ultraviolet rays can damage the tissue of the eye surface, as well as the cornea and lens. Ultraviolet radiation can burn the front surface of the eye, similar to a sunburn on the skin.

At Ohio Eye Associates, quality is top priority and the eyeglasses you purchase are no exception. That is why we include a one-year warranty with the majority of eyeglass purchases.
